Autism Legal Clinic Hotline Goes Live!
Legal issues can be a challenging barrier to many families. This is often magnified in families impacted by autism who have other major costs, such as expensive behavioral therapy, to contend with. Legal issues can include access to special education services, bankruptcies, public benefits, employment law, housing, insurance, and others.
Beginning in 2016, AAP is partnering with Legal Aid of Nebraska to provide free legal advice and services to families with someone on the autism spectrum!
Today, a special autism legal hotline operated by Legal Aid went live. The number is 844-535-3533.
Legal Aid staff will also be on site at the Munroe Meyer Institute twice a month.
Check this site for more information as it becomes available.
