DHHS unveils new rules

Tuesday, April 12, 2016

The federal government has approved the Medicaid State Plan amendment for low income families to get the most effective behavioral treatment for their children on the autism spectrum. A couple of news stories are linked below. While we are excited about the increased coverage, we lament the lack of providers for these services. We do applaud the efforts of those working to increase the number of providers in Nebraska for ABA and PRT therapies! Importantly, the success of treatment is directly correlated in many studies to early intervention, especially before the age of 3.
