Storytelling with Sheila Rocha-A Class for Young Adults
Time: 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Location: Bemis Center, 12th and Leavenworth, Omaha, NE
Description: Imagine, many millennia ago, people sitting around a fire and recounting their day's adventures. Stories are the original art form. Join master storyteller Sheila Rocha and explore the ancient art of telling tales. Recount stories from your own life, folktales, funny ones, even Sheila's favorite, scary stories. Sheila is a long time educator and artist with The Rose Theater and at UNO, and is Artistic Director of Teatro Mestizo, a theater company dedicated to bringing Latino and indigenous stories to the stage.
Intended Audience: Adults, with special needs, 18 and older. If 1:1 assistance is needed, please have a support person accompany class participant.
Cost: $60 Arc member and $65 non-Arc member. Class size is limited to 15 persons
