Two Workshops-One Night! Special Education: What Do I Need to Know? and IFSP to IEP
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Country Kitchen, 1250 W. 10th Street, Chadron, NE
Description: Special Education: What Do I Need to Know?-A brief overview for parents. This workshop provides a brief but sound overview to help parents advocate for their child. Some of the topics that will be reviewed are: Evaluation, Related Services, Individual Education Plans, and Preparing for Meetings and Least Restrictive Environments.
Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to Individual Education Plan (IEP): A look at the difference between the IFSP and IEP along with tips for preparing for the difference.
Intended Audience: Parents of children with special needs.
Cost: No cost.
