Oral Motor/ Sensory Group
These groups are designed for those children with oral-motor and/or sensory feeding issues. We address the child’s oral and sensory feeding issues in a comfortable environment while having fun. We use the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach along with Food Chaining and sensory based approaches. These approaches are developmental and follow a hierarchy to feeding. We work to improve a child’s visual, tactile, olfactory, motor and taste of a variety of food choices. Sensory and motor challenges are used prior to the feeding therapy to help organize a child’s sensory system and prepare him/her for snack time. Classes will be grouped according to age.
